K-3 students - don't forget to add the stickers to your constellation for each bedtime math story you do this summer (sent home in your summer learning bags). We'll be giving prizes this fall!

Please see flyer for volleyball camp this week for 4th-12th graders. GO RED!

Attention parents of incoming K-6 Beaverton Elementary students:
There will be a rewards assembly in the fall for students who show us some proof of reading over the summer. Students can fill out the reading bookmark that was sent home, report books read in the KRN portal, or simply keep track of books or time read on a piece of paper. The important thing is to keep those reading skills sharp! Reading during summer break makes a HUGE difference for students in the fall. It's not too late!

Just a friendly reminder - Summer time is a great time to make appointments for sports physicals and immunizations. The State of Michigan does have several school required immunizations. If you have a child in Kindergarten, 7th grade, or are new to our district your student's immunization status will be assessed and will need to be updated prior to the beginning of the school year. Additionally, all potential athletes will need to have a current health physical on file with the school. Enjoy your summer!!

Books are on the way!
Many of our students are participating in the Kids Read Now summer reading program. Beaverton Elementary's first @KidsReadNow books have shipped and are on the way to our students! If you've reported a book for your child, make sure you're checking the mail for your next book!

Many of our students are participating in the Kids Read Now summer reading program. Every @KidsReadNow book includes a Discovery Sheet on the inside of the front cover. These questions help children to relate the book to themselves, to other books, and to the world! Are you discussing these questions with your child? What are your favorite questions (and answers) so far?

Girls Basketball Camp for 4th-8th Graders begins today through Thursday from 9 to noon at the high school gym. We hope to see your daughter there! GO RED!

POPSICLES WITH PARENTS WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you to everyone who attended! We had 206 visitors throughout the day! Our K-3 students LOVED the visits, the math games, and the chance to Kick Off summer! Remember that on average students can lose as much as 2 months of reading and 2.6 months of math learning over the summer. Even a few minutes or a few days of fun learning can help! Check out the resources on our webpage link: https://sites.google.com/beavertonschools.net/summer-learning

Mrs. Marcoux's 2nd grade class would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the Gladwin County Youth Action Council. The mini grant that was received has provided stem bins to their class and in turn made learning so much fun!!
