HANDS ON LEARNING: Mrs. Woodruff's 7th and 8th graders have spent the past few days answering the STEM Robotic Limbs/Prosthetics Challenge. This project called for students to partner up; research and highlight people who use a prosthetic; and design and build robotic hands. The challenge: Could the hands pick up and move a pop can? Spoiler alert: They sure could. #GoBeavers

The cross-country team competed in a large invitational at Shepherd on Wednesday. In the boys’ middle school race, Braeden Hargrove was 43rd, Riley Sprague 103rd and Cameron Greer was 190th. In the girls race Myah Hubble took 18th. In the varsity boys race Taj Finney was 17th in his division with a new PR and in the girls race Tessa Wohlschlegel took 8th in her division. Tessa Wohlschlegel was 9th out of 92. Braeden Hargrove was 6th of 19 and  Riley Sprague was 11th. Myah Hubble took 3rd of 15. The team's next race will be at Shepherd on Wednesday September 7th. Because we remain committed to taking every necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our student-athletes and spectators, this week's JV Football game against the Pioneers will be played in Clare Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. The varsity football game will be played as scheduled Friday at 7 p.m. at Clare. Nobody is more anxious and excited to see our teams competing on our home stomping grounds at C.W. Metzger Field than us, so please understand we share your frustration.
