Attention softball players, Northwood is hosting a fall softball camp in September, stop by the office for a flyer. 4. Student handbook form may be dropped off at the office in designated boxes. Parents may also sign document in their Skyward. 5. To any Juniors/Seniors who want to take a leadership role in Bleacher Creatures please report to Mr. Colman's room, room 201 during lunch on Today. Who's got it better than us? NOOOOBODY!!! 6. CROSS COUNTRY: We are in need of more participants for our cross country team. It's a great way to earn your varsity letter, meet people from different schools and get into shape. See the office if interested in learning more. 7. DRESS CODE REMINDERS: No hats or hoodies can be worn in the building. Crop tops should only be worn with high waisted pants in order for the stomach to be covered. Do not spray perfumes or colognes anywhere in the building.  8. Staff: Mrs. Kintner will share a list of HS Band/Color guard with you sometime today for assembly purposes. 9. Color guard: We will practice in the band room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:30 pm weekly during football season - starting tonight! 10. Students, do you like taking pictures? Cross Country opened their season up today in Roscommon: Tessa Wohlschlegel was 4th out of 22 with a time of 23:02. In the boys varsity race Taj Finney was 11th with 20:35 and Payton Corrigan was 24th with 24:59. JV Football loses 34-6 vs. Shepherd and Varsity Football travels to Shepherd for a 7:00 kick off. Varsity Volleyball hosts a quad this Friday at 10:00 am with Central Montcalm, Alma and Ogemaw Heights. GO RED!

Congratulations to the Beaverton Equestrian High School Team of Jadyn Bair, Kennedy Brown-Maxwell, Darby McKimmy & Carly Tweed for placing 4th in the Class C Division this past week-end. Way to go, ladies! GO RED!

It’s that time of year again! I want to welcome everyone back to school and remind you we start tomorrow. It is a full day of school. We are very excited to have students back in the building. Any student who has CTE classes, we will have a meeting tomorrow @ 1030am for morning CTE students and again at 12:15pm for afternoon CTE students. Morning CTE students are not required to be at school until 10:30am and Afternoon CTE students can leave after the 12:15 meeting. Finally, if you were unable to pick up your chromebook, it will be available tomorrow at school, but you must have a guardian and student signed form before it will be issued. Forms are available at the school office and on our website. Let's have a great year! Go Beavers!

Football loses a hard fought season opener in Lake City tonight 21-30. JV hosts Shepherd this Wednesday and Varsity travels to Shepherd on Thursday for a 7:00 kick off. GO RED!

Are you ready for some football, Beaverton Fans? Season begins tonight with the JV Football Team hosting Lake City @ 6:30 and the Varsity team travels to Lake City this Thursday for a 7:00 kick off. Please note for tonight's game, we will be selling Athletic Passes at the Ticket Gate. Family passes are $125, Single Pass $75 and Student Pass is $50. Please pay for passes with cash or a check made out to: Beaverton Schools. Single game admission is $5/person. Looking forward to a great season and GO RED!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY PRACTICE: Middle School competitions consist of either a 1 mile or 2 mile race. For practice, meet and get picked up at the track. Runner must present coach with physical or green card in order to practice.  Monday, August 23rd: 4:45-6:00 Tuesday, August 24th: 4:45-6:00 Wednesday- No practice  Thursday, August 25th: 4:45-6:00 Once school begins, practices will take place after school from 3:45-5:00 on Monday-Thursday. Students may stay after school until practice begins.  Below is a link to the cross country schedule. Middle school runners will run in all of the meets during the week. Saturday races are optional and parents are responsible for transportation if their child chooses to run in a Saturday invite. Practices are in elementary gym and wear knee pads!  Monday, August 23rd: 5:45-7:30 p.m. (Must bring physical in order to practice. If you got your physical done at the school, no need to bring a copy) Tuesday, August 24th: 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 25th: 6:30-7:45 (Open House from 4:30-6:30) Thursday, August 26th: 6:00-7:30 Friday:  no practice First week of school: Practice at elementary gym from 3:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday *For all practices, students can be dropped off & picked up by the outside doors to the elementary gym*

Welcome back! I hope everyone has been having an enjoyable summer. I have several announcements I would like to share with you tonight about the upcoming school year. As a reminder, we have our district open house on August 25th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. 7th & 8th grade students will have an orientation in the gym starting at 4:30pm. 9th through 12th grade students may pick up their schedule & chromebooks beginning at 4:30pm. Prior to any student revieceving their district issued chromebook, they must have a signed user agreement on file which requires a parent and student signature. The user agreement is available on the school’s website under the news section, school office and the night of the open house. As a reminder, since every student will have a chromebook, cell phones will no longer be used or allowed during class time. All cell phones will be collected at the beginning of each class period. Students will be able to check their phones during lunch and passing time. Beaverton Schools is only offering in-person learning this school year. According to the State of Michigan, all students riding a bus will be required to wear a mask. The first day of school is Monday, August 30th and is a full day. We look forward to everyone coming back to school.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL SPORTS PRACTICE INFO: Cross country practices begins on Monday, August 23rd at 4:45 p.m. and ends at 5:45. Runners should meet at the track. FUN Run/Walk @ Beaverton School Forest Cross Country Course This Tuesday, August 17th at 6:30 p.m. School Forest Address: 2980 McCulloch Rd 1 mile run/walk OR 5K Open to ALL ages and abilities $5/participant register & pay the day of at the event. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited! GO RED!

Registration begins at 6:00 pm at the football field for tonight’s football corn hole tournament fundraiser. Hot dogs, chips and cold beverages will be available to purchase, along with some raffles! GO RED!

Sports Physicals at the Jr/Sr High Main Office this Tuesday, August 3rd from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. There will be physical forms available in the office. Students that are under the age of 18 are preferred to have an adult present during the physical. If this is not possible, the student must come with the physical form medical history fill out ahead of time with the parent signature by all the arrows on the physical form.
