We just wanted to celebrate our art teacher, Ms. Barnett, and our art students. We have been chosen, out of the entire nation, as one of the top 250 schools to participate in the Vans Custom Culture competition! Our students have designed a shoe that encompasses our Beaverton pride (labeled Hometown Pride) and their dreams (labeled Head in the Clouds). We submitted the drawings and have been reviewed and chosen. We are so unbelievably proud of them! We will be receiving (FREE) four pairs of Vans shoes to design and submit for the competition, but it is a huge accomplishment just to get the shoes- out of the entire nation we are in the top 250!
If you're curious, here is the link to the site for all of the information, but this is awesome!
