Today we were lucky enough to welcome Mary from My Michigan EMS to discuss heart rhythms! She shared her experiences working with EMS and even allowed students to see their own heart activity on the monitor! Yay for ❤️!

1. "Want to play Nintendo switch games like Mario Cart and Super Smash Bros? Then
join the E-Sports team! We meet M-TH 3:30-5pm in the library. To join you need to
have your adults fill out the Ignite Enrollment form from the office. There is a
requirement of having no more than 2 E's to participate."
2. Hitting Barn will be open Tuesday and Saturday at 10:30 am.
3. Seniors, Local Scholarship Application deadline is March 1 st , 2023. Find the link to
the application in the Class of 2023 Google Classroom.
4. Course requests for next year are now open in Xello for 8-11th grade students. The
portal will close next Friday Feb. 17th. Please see the how-to video in your grades
Google Classroom for assistance. Email Mrs. Johnson if you are having any
issues. There will be a Leo club meeting today at lunch.
5. Girls Varsity Basketball Parent Night will be February 16 th . Stop in the office to
complete Parent Night information posted on the counter.
6. Seniors due to snow days, the applications for the Wild Turkey Hunters
scholarships will need to be turned in to Mrs. Johnson at 3:30 today. There are
paper applications in the office or you can find the application in your Class of 2023
Google classroom.
7. Gladwin Area Friends of theatre is looking for an actor to fill a small male role. Show
dates are March 23,24,25, & 26 at Riverwalk. If you are interested Please contact

Congratulations to Becca Claypool for winning the JPC Singles Bowling Tournament today! Ellie Minkina finished 4th. Andrew Cooper finished in 8th place and Jason Ash 12th for the boys. GO RED!
Congratulations to Landon Terrell and Garrett Muma for advancing to individual wrestling regionals today.
Garrett Muma took a third place finish at 132 lb and Landon Terrell was a District Champion at 113 lbs!!

Congratulations to the Beaverton Wrestling Team for winning the District Championship with an exciting win over Standish Sterling 39-36! Beavers beat Pinconning 54-30 to advance to the championship. Beaverton will host the Regional next Wednesday, February 15th. GO RED!

Beaverton Wrestling Team finished 2 nd in the JPC. Logan Love, Justin Wood, Will
Warner, Eric Larson and Garrett Muma all earned Second Team All-Conference and
Colton Compton earned All-Conference Honorable mention.
Beaverton’s two-person Ethics Bowl team of Emma Govitz and Addison Drudge made
an impressive showing at the Ethics Bowl on Saturday, in Ann Arbor, finishing 1-1-2.
They lost a close match with the five-person team from A-class Ann Arbor Pioneer and
tied with five-person teams from A-class schools Ann Arbor Huron and Avondale.
