1. Wednesday is Holiday Hat Day (Santa, Reindeer, etc.)
2. Ski Club meeting Today at lunches in the Library.
3. Reminder backpacks need to be kept in lockers and not taken to class.
4. Student Gov. members please bring in your item for Christmas Kindness throughout the
week to Mrs. Hubble's room.
5. The Hitting barn will be open Wednesday at 2:20 pm and Thursday at 3:30.
6. Ugly Sweater dance will be after the home game on Friday. Cost to get in the dance is a
canned good, hat, gloves or a donation of your choice. Students will not be allowed in the
dance until after the game.
7. Play Area Fundraiser: New style ornaments will be for sale during both lunches today
through Thursday. Cost is $6.00. Any questions please contact Mrs. Massaro.
8. Seniors, this Wed meet in Library for lunch & WIN. pizza lunch provided. Have your
questions ready to ask our local business members. See your WIN teachers for more
details.

10. Friday, December 10th, NHS will be hosting an event for any teacher or 9th-12th student to
participate. We'll be writing letters of sympathy and support to students at Oxford High
School--the school that was recently affected by the tragic shooting. This letter-writing
event will take place during WIN on Friday, December 10th in Mrs. Sanderson's room.
Thank you to all who choose to participate. Guest passes will need to be turned in no later
than Wednesday, December 15 th .

Coughlin's room discussing final preparations for the Ugly Sweater Dance. Be ready to tell
me what you are bringing for a snack/drink and who you asked to be a chaperone.

Event Results: The boys basketball team split with Harrison last night. The Varsity lost on a
buzzer-beater, 40-38. Colton Compton scored 13 points and Logan Love had 12. The JV squad
won 64-20, powered by Reese Longstreth's 20 points; Lincoln Stoike added 14. Both teams play
at Meridian next Tuesday.

The Beaverton Wrestling team kicked off their season last night. Beaverton defeated Breckenridge 24-21 and lost to Ithaca 24-42.
Ian Krezenski led the way with 2 pins. Landon Terrell and Seth Onweller both came home with two wins as well.

7. Chromebook issues some strategies to keep them running for your usage.
A. Please do not use the Chromebook as a portable charger, they are not designed for this
use.
B. Just Closing the lid puts the chromebook into sleep mode. Hold down the power button
for a few second to completely power the device off.
C. Opening a Chromebook lid and immediately hitting the power button multiple time can
loc the device into battery save mode. Some models can take up to 5 seconds to boot
when opened. Please be patient with the chromebooks.

Event Results: The boys' basketball teams kicked off the season with a pair of wins against
Coleman last night. The varsity won 45-31; Mitchell Hall and Colton Compton scored 11 points
each. The JV squad won 51-31. Blake Calhoun led the team with 10 points, and Reese Longstreth
added nine. Mason Ptak pulled down 12 rebounds. The teams are back in action Thursday night
at home versus Harrison.

What a spectacular City of Beaverton Christmas tree lighting event! Thank you to the BJSHS band for kicking the event off with holiday cheer. Miss Beaverton, Stella Govitz, got the honor of lightning the tree and of course Santa Claus made an appearance.

6 pm.
2. The Beaverton JSHS Music Department proudly presents their Annual Christmas Concert -
Monday, December 13th @ 6:30 pm in the JSHS Gymnasium. This evening of sacred and
secular Christmas music will feature the musical talents of 7th grade beginning band, 8th
grade band, high school band, and the 7-12 grade mixed choir. The concert is open to the
public (free of charge). Donations are graciously accepted.

1. Seniors: Deadline to complete the Survey for Graduation is TODAY!!! The survey can be
found in your WIN google classrooms.
2. The band room will be open Thursday and Friday (12/2 & 12/3) from 3:15 - 5 pm for
students preparing for the MSBOA District 9 Jr High Solo and Ensemble Festival this
Saturday in Tawas. Students should dress professionally. Itineraries were posted in google
classroom AND a hard copy was sent home with student participants.
3. The HS Band will play at the Beaverton Tree Lighting @ Ross Lake Park this Friday (12/3) @
6 pm. Student musicians need to report to the band room by 5:30 pm in "warm weather"
attire. A bus will pick us up behind the bandroom @ 5:45 pm. We should be back to
school by 6:45 pm. Let's help ring in the Holiday Season for our Community!

Tomorrow, seniors will get an opportunity to hear from Michigan Scholarships and Grants outreach rep, Nick Messing. He will be presenting a Financial aid 101 program to help students understand their post-secondary funding options during WIN.
Next week, students and parents can attend our Family Financial Aid Night to learn more about the FAFSA process and how to complete it.
