Today we welcomed Sam Bohy from Mid Michigan Health-Sports Medicine to our 9th grade science classes at Beaverton Jr/Sr High School. She talked about why sports injuries like concussions occur and how they can be prevented. Students are currently working on a forces and motion project in science class. They will be choosing one piece of sports equipment and improving/redesigning it to be safer and more effective by submitting a technical sketch and report. Students will be applying their knowledge of Newton’s laws, momentum and impact to complete this project! Thanks again to Sam for her expertise and advice today! We will be sharing our designs with her in a couple weeks!
Congratulations to the Volleyball Team for winning the Jack Pine Conference Championship and going undefeated in conference play! They finished the regular season tonight by winning all 3 matches in a quad in Pinny with Farwell and Harrison.
Beavers play Roscommon at their gym in Districts on Monday at 5:30 pm.
