1. CTE applications for next school year is open. Applications are for next years
Juniors and Seniors. You must apply for both 1 st and 2 nd year programs. Scan one of
the QR codes around the building or check your grades google classroom for the
link.
2. Mentors- Please report to your 7 th grade WIN for mentoring this week on Thursday
1/5. See Mrs. Sprague if you need your red folder. Guidelines for mentoring are in
the google classroom.
3. Hitting Barn will be open on Saturday @ 10:30 am.
4. Dual Enrollment books for Winter semester are now available. You may pick them
up from Mrs Johnson in Room 232. Classes begin on Monday January 9th.
5. Attention Seniors: Midland Community Foundation scholarship application deadline
is January 15th. If you need assistance please see Mrs. Johnson.

...AND TO ALL A GOOD BREAK: Beaverton Elementary closed out the year in style this morning, playing host to the BJSHS Band and Choir for a big ol' holiday singalong. Along the way, a handful of students were recognized for bringing the cheer, the crowd was treated to the teaching staff's unique interpretation of 'The 12 Days of Christmas' and, oh yeah, The Big Fella showed up. 1. Long Assembly Schedule. After noon CTE is optional and Morning CTE will be here
at 11:50, Please do not mark them absent for 5 th hour.
2. Bagel sales will continue into the New Year. They will be sold on the first day of the
week for January.

5. The Ignite program is starting a before school program from 7am until 8am,
Monday-Thursday. Official start date is Tuesday January 3rd 2023. Students will
have opportunity to use the open gym, as well as time to complete homework with
coffee in the Ignite room. If interested please grab an enrollment form from the
office today.
6. Today is the last day to join the Forensics Team! Sign up is in the main office.

Events Results: Congratulations to the 8th grade girls basketball team for winning the
gold division conference tournament championship on Saturday! The team went
undefeated on the season with an impressive 12-0 record.

Congratulation to Eli Roe and Leland Love for placing first and Dalton Dull placing 3 rd in
the Youth Wrestling Tournament in Ogemaw this weekend.

Congratulations to the wrestling team for beating Farwell and competing well against Ogemaw Heights last night, despite falling short. Wrestling travels to Millington for an invite tomorrow at 9 am. Thank you to the youth wrestlers and their families for their support and providing a great atmosphere!
There is a basketball triple header tonight vs. rival Meridian. JV boys at 4:30, varsity girls at 6:00 and varsity boys at 7:30. We are honoring Deb Bergman after the varsity girls game. GO RED!
VISIT TO THE FUTURE: Sophomores paid a visit to Clare-Gladwin CTE classrooms and labs this morning in advance of registration for classes next fall opening this afternoon. (More information is available in the student's Google classroom.) Whether they found themselves driving nails, caring for an artificial infant or plenty of other interactions, it gave students a solid glimpse into the possibilities of the hands-on life of a CTE student. #CTEitsWorking #GoBeavers

LEADERS: The Beaverton Leo Club recently elected its leadership for the 2022-23 school year. Sponsored by the Beaverton Lions Club, the Leo Club has a number of annual projects and is one of the larger such clubs in Michigan. Club projects have included Christmas basket support, lunch buddies, planting
flowers, assisting in the BES lock-in, landscaping assistance to the BAC, VFW food distribution and more.
