
Beaverton 7th and 8th Grade Student Council is hosting a bake sale at this Friday's home basketball game 2/10 to raise money for spring field trips. We will have a variety of goods for donation from 6:00 PM until halftime of the Varsity game (or until sold out) Please come out to cheer on the Beavers and support the Junior High Students!

1. BPA is going to be selling "Snickers and Sentiments" for Valentine's Day. We will
be selling them at your lunch time, in front of the cafeteria next week. (Starting
Monday - until we run out)! They are $2 per full sized snickers bar and you get to
write the note. We will deliver them on Valentine's Day to your WIN class.
2. 9 th – 12 th Glow dance will be February 10 after the home game until 11. Guest
passes for this dance will be due Today. Tickets will be sold at the door only and
will be five dollars.
3. Hitting Barn will be open Tuesday after school and Saturday at 10:30 am.
4. Seniors, Local Scholarship Application deadline is March 1 st , 2023. Find the link to
the application in the Class of 2023 Google Classroom.
5. GladYak meeting February 21 st during lunches.
6. Sophomore Class will be selling Glow Stick at the door for dance. The cost will be
2/$1.00
7. JH Student Council may meet in Mrs. Sprague’s room during lunch all week to work
on signs for the bake sale.
8. JH Student council will be hosting a bake sale at this Friday’s home basketball

Events Results: Youth Wrestlers placing in Tournament this weekend are: Eli Roe 1 st
place, Dalton Dull 2 nd Place, Leland Love 3 rd Place.
Girls Varsity Basketball lost Meridian 71-25, Leiyah Mungin 17 pts.
Beaverton Wrestling Team finished 2 nd in the JPC. Logan Love, Justin Wood, Will
Warner, Eric Larson and Garrett Muma all earned Second Team All-Conference and
Colton Compton earned All-Conference Honorable mention.
Beaverton’s two-person Ethics Bowl team of Emma Govitz and Addison Drudge made
an impressive showing at the Ethics Bowl on Saturday, in Ann Arbor, finishing 1-1-2.
They lost a close match with the five-person team from A-class Ann Arbor Pioneer and
tied with five-person teams from A-class schools Ann Arbor Huron and Avondale.

The Beaverton Wrestling Team finished 2nd in the JPC. Logan love, Justin Wood, Will Warner, Eric Larson and Garrett Muma all earned Second Team All Conference and Colton Compton earned All conference honorable mention. The Beavers host MHSAA Team Districts on Thursday at 6:00. GO RED!

To the Class of 2023, we have a lot of scholarships available for you to apply for. Even if you are not planning on attending college, but are thinking about a trade school, we have scholarships available. Families, please encourage your Senior to apply for as many scholarships as they are eligible. All scholarship information is located in your Class of 2023 Google Classroom. The local scholarship deadline is March 1st. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our academic counselor, Mrs. Johnson. She can be reached by calling the BJSHS main office.

they were able to raise $1,928.50 for the American Cancer Society.

Beaverton wrestled today at the John Harris Classic Tournament of Champions in Shepherd and had one champion on the day: Landon Terrell at 113 lbs. Garett Muma placed 5th at 132 lbs. The Beavers host the JPC Championship next Saturday at 9:00 a.m. GO RED!

In a battle of undefeated conference rivals, the Beaverton Girls Bowling Team started strong and held their ground for a 22-8 point victory over 2022 state champion Shepherd. High scorers for the Beavers: Becca Claypool with a 207 & 191 and Kaelyn Fisher with 160 & 156.
